I used Bay Area Self Storage to store my client's case files and to also store personal things like furniture, books, baseball cards, etc. I found Bay Area Self Storage to be a very reliable and convenient storage facility over the years. The units are extremely clean. I felt their onsite security system of video cameras and alarms were more than adequate. In addition, management was professional and very easy to work with.
Pros: Lots of carts to haul stuff up to the units; indoor facility to keep things clean and minimize potential water damage; huge elevator; really nice staff to work with; and 24 hour security.
Cons: It might cost a little more than other storage units but if you are storing valuable things it is well worth the value.
This place is amazingly friendly and cares a lot about the people it deals with. Frank, Kathleen, and Shirley are all excellent people, and you'd be challenged to find a more personable company in the Bay Area!
Best storage experience I've ever had. Helen made the rental process fast and painless. Even had a free 16' rental truck for me to move my stuff out of dirty Public Storage. The place is gated, super clean, and each unit has an alarm. Doesn't get any better than this.
